In March 1987 I was sent by my new coal mining company to work on Allied Queensland Coalfield Ltd.’s Head Office in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, I was also trained in computerized accounting by instructor from KPMG Hungerfood.

I flew by Qantas from Sukarno Hatta International Airport of Jakarta, stopped over in Changi Airport of Singapore and arrived safely at Brisbane International Airport.

Brisbane is the Capital City of State Queensland, the 3rd largest city in Australia, and the largest and most populated city in the state of Queensland, was Established in 1824. The City is low –lying flood plain, it situated on Brisbane River. During March the temperature between 19-28 degrees C warmer than Sydney and Melbourne. Brisbane has a humid subtropical climate. Queensland is also called Sunshine State.

Brisbane has many shopping centers, like Queen Street Mall at Queen Street, Brisbane CBD, and has some parks Mount Coot-tha, Brisbane Botanical Gardens, including Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium, City Botanic Garden, Brisbane Forest Park.

I visited Gold Coast, is a city and local government in the south east corner of Queensland, second most populated in the state, the city consist of 57 km of coastline. Surfer Paradise Beach is a suburb on Australia’s Gold Cost. Further south is Coolangatta and Tweed Heads borders of New South Wales State.

You may visit crocodile show at Australia Zoo (home of Steve Irwin until his death on September 4,2006), Currumbin Sanctuary , Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary , Ginger Factory and Sunshine Coast.

Later on and my family and I visited Brisbane for several times.
