Mount Titlis is a favorites place for the people for skiing because Mount Titlis weather is snowy all year round and Mount Titlis climate is nice. The closest town to Mount Titlis is Lucerne or Luzern.

Luzern is a capital of Kanton of Luzern, and seat in the district on the same name Luzern or Lucerne, is most populous city in the central of Switzerland.


Hotel

We stayed at the hotel nearby the Lake of Lucerne, the view is fantastic very quiet and peace, I was really amazed. One of the city famous landmark is Chapel Bridge, a wooden bridge first built in 14 century.

We spent some hours in the city for sight seeing, and purchase a little gift for our family, the famous product from Swiss is watches like Rolex, Breitling, Gucci, Longines, leather products like Bally, and Swiss Army knives

On our way to Mount Titlis we stopped to see Bertel Thorvaldsen’s famous carving of dying lion which is called The Lucerne Lion Monument. This monument located in a small park just off Lowenplatz. The Lion Monument is to commemorate the hundred of Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution.

The Swiss have a long tradition of supplying mercenaries to foreign government, because Swiss have been political neutral. A Papal are confident that Swiss guards would guard Vatican in Rome.

There is a tale story for the people who visit the Lion Monument, where they should throw some coins to the waterpond, the people standing facing in different direction to the Monument, and the coins should be thrown thru a right shoulder.
