Do you feel safe to fly?
Do you feel safe to fly? this question always come from the deep of my heart, and I have to say yes I do, I just learned it from the statistic.
It is really a nightmare when I heard what had happened with International flight Qantas from Australia, all of newspaper placed the news as their headline. The Australian flag carrier Qantas has a nickname The Flying Cangaroo, had an accident on her flight from Hongkong to Melbourne.
This Qantas flight Boeing 747-400 with flight number QF30 carried 346 passengers and 19 crews was enroute from London to Melbourne Australia with stop over in Hongkong. When she leaved Hongkong at 40.000 feet altitude the passengers heard a loud explosion came from under the plane, and the oxygen masks pop out from it place, and the passengers were directed by the crews to use those oxygen mask.
The Captain pilot John Francis lowered the plane to the safe altitude 15.000 feet, where the people could breath normally without oxygen mask, and he asked permission from The Ninoy Aquino International Airport of Manila Phillipines to have an emergency landing. We must salute to the Captain who brought the plane safely landed at the airport with no major accident, but the authorities should help the passengers to relieve their traumatic experiences.
You could see from the picture on television or newspapers that there is a big hole under the front of the plane, some people said a van could get into that hole, and the authority is investigating what caused of that accident, we just wait until the final result.
The Qantas is the safest flights so far, and I have been flying with Qantas since 1986 when I go to any destination in Australia, I like this airline company because they give a good service, the fare is relatively cheap compare to other and we could ask them to have a special fare. We must buy an insurance policy to cover flight accident and live insurance, just for protection to ourself and our families.
