In connection with the Indonesia Independence Day on the 17th of August, our community held a social events in our housing complex, we named it Mass Blood Donor and Free Medical Treatments.

Our activities for Mass Blood Donor and Free Medical Treatments was took place at the house of one Medical Doctor, for Mass Blood Donors participants about 150 persons of the residents in the housing complex, the blood was took by the Indonesian Red Cross, thank you for the Indonesian Red Cross or in Bahasa Palang Merah Indonesia.

Blood is very essentials and needed by the victims, every second of everyday some are needs blood, by donating blood you could save live. Your blood gift could help to improve the life of people who may need it in emergency on Traffic Accidents, undergoing surgery and other blood problem.

Are you eligible to donate?
In general the people with a good health, the hemoglobin meet the criteria, not consume medicines, have had a good sleep and have eat something before, you are eligible to donate.

Donating blood doesn’t put you into risk, all needles are sterile, use only once, they took only 250 cc of your blood. Donors are not paid for the blood they give, the committee provided food and drinks to help the donors recovery.

At the same time Free Medical Treatment was given the community surrounding the housing complex by some Medical Doctors who live in the housing complex and some volunteer from outside. At one day the participants reached about 400 peoples, beside free examinations, the peoples received free medicine and free lunch. Our Chairman of Community are very active to encourage the residents to help the needy, and contribute some of our money.
